Remote PsychEvaluations can help determine important information about your child’s developmental, cognitive, academic and/or psychosocial functioning All Evalusations at Skooc are conducted online. We use Pearson's QGlobal standardised assessments. Listed below are different types of evaluations that are conducted at Skooc. The type of evalusation recommended for your child will depend on the presenting problem. In certains cases a combination of evaluations may also be recommended.Psychoeducational Assessments
Psychoeducational Assessments are to assess an childs’s learning style (ages five years and older). Psychoeducational evaluations are usually recommended when a child is struggling in school or having difficulty with performance in exams. Psychoeducational evaluations help to understand a child's \strengths and weaknesses and establish whether there is a neurodevelopmental condition for example, learning disability, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or other such conditions which might be interfering with academic performance. These evaluations are important for us to create of individualized intervention plans and accommodations that will be most effective for a student to succeed.Psychodevelopmental Assessments
Psychodevelopmental Assessments are to assess children between the ages of three years and five years where concerns about a child’s development that may not be in line with thei child's daily functioning is noticed. These functions include fine and gross motor functioning, speech/language skills, understanding instructions, ability to absorb learnings, preacademic and early academic skills ,social behaviours, behavioral responses and emotional functioning. These assessments are help with early detection of developmental delays, including early detection of Autism Spectrum Disorders.Psychological Assessments
Psychological Assessments are conducted to primarily assess an individual’s emotional and behavioral functioning. These evaluations provide useful information about how someone’s character, psychological constructs, and interpersonal style are affecting his or her functioning. Diagnostic information is useful to clarify a clinical picture and help guide treatment.Assessments we use
Assessment Process
A typical assessment process will include
✓ A detailed discussion with the parent ➡ 30 minutes
✓ Consulting with the child ➡ 30-60 minutes (depending on condition & age of the child)
✓ Assessment ➡ 60 minutes to 90 minutes
✓ Scoring and report creation ➡ 24 hours
✓ Post-assessment meeting with parents and child ➡ 60 minutes
